Only 39% of adults in urban and suburban areas have broadband internet
access, only 24% in rural areas.

70% of adults urban and suburban areas have internet access at all,
while 62% of adults in rural areas have internet access. The stats come
from the Pew Internet Project

So if you have not met a single person in the last 5 years that doesn't
have broadband then you don't get out much. I know places where
broadband has only become available in the past 3 years.
