I figured I'd be last, or close to it. But, I did well within my division, and my time was totally respectable for a rookie. I averaged over 15 mph on the bike, which is also great considering that I'm riding an old steel frame 10 speed. There was one person that I kept leap frogging on the bike. I'd beat her up the hill, but she'd beat me back down. So, my fitness was better, and her bike was faster. Argh.
