I used to drink straight out of it every day. The water was a deep rust red,
and at first it tastes really weird but you soon get used to it. Soon you
begin to prefer it, and it just tastes so clean. Rusty water tasting clean.
Strange.

The rust is from all the old iron mills and iron deposits around the area, and
hundreds of years of leaching into the water. Interesting thing is, hardly any
women in that area have hypothyroid disease because of the overabundance of
iron in the water.

The water in parts of the Quetico (Canada) were so clean and clear that you
could see down at least forty feet. Light greenish-looking water because of
the reflection from all the trees.

Honest to God, the most beautiful place on Earth.

Have a great time up there.
Respectfully,

That's probably the most beautiful lake I've ever seen in terms of
size and complexity. Rather than feel like a lake, it's like a small
ocean with 10,000 islands. It's really awesome.
