Scott -----Original Message----- From: Scott Stewart [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, July 10, 2006 10:49 AM To: CF-Community Subject: RE: Martial Arts Schools was: blogfusion.com It took me six years to get my black belt, every belt was earned through sweat, tears and sometimes blood. Master Gonzalez is incredible at motivation through example and encouragement. (note: children's classes, in the WTF generally don't do full contact sparring, it's very, very controlled but there is substantial contact. Adults on the other hand while we don't try to knock each other out in the school, there is the occasional busted nose, lip etc.) Scott Stewart ColdFusion Developer/Administrator GlobalNet Services, Inc. www.gnsi.com 301-770-9610 x358 (Voice) 301-770-9611 (Fax) The information contained in this message may be privileged, confidential, and protected from disclosure. When i was in high school I went to an ATA school, and the big selling point was "we'll have you a black belt in a year". Some of the instructors were good...don't get me wrong...but the overall mindset was not necessarily to make sure the students were good with technique...it was to get them promoted. I got up to green belt, then switched to karate. The owner of the karate school said he'd honor my green belt. I can tell you in no uncertain terms, that the green belts in the karate school THOROUGHLY and COMPLETELY kicked my ass on a daily basis. not fun for Charlie :) On 7/10/06, Scott Stewart <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Denny, > > I surfed the single-dads.us site.
