grad school - we did a lot of pain research - experimentally induced pain to test various non drug pain control methods here's some of the methods we used in various studies: holding one's hand in icewater (0 degrees C) for about 2 minutes - very intense and very similar to clinical pain. using a pressure cuff with a special fitting then inflating it - very intense. having the subject place their hand on an extremely hot brass plate (set to around 160 degrees F). laser stimulation of dental pulp - simply undescribably intense. it was a rule that before we administered these to the subjects we tried it on ourselves. Needless to say I don't want to do that stuff again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/message.cfm/forumid:5/messageid:211227 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
