Did he just ban research using embryonic stem cells? What makes you think the US Government is going to create some kind of miracle cure that will save you life? Isn't it the private sector busy farming there own embryos? The US government is the largest worldwide supplier of embryonic stem cell. There are 22 lines available and just one of those lines has already created material used by 136 researchers. These lines continuously divide so they'll be available for decades.
I don't even agree with the veto but lets have a little perspective.
