In a democracy, how do you prevent a party from taking part in elections? If a militant arm of the Democratic party attacked Canada, and the country of the United States was too weak to reign them in...then you would have the US entering a civil war. North and South.
Hezbollah against the government of Lebanon. They already went through that, or are you just talking without any appreciation of the country's history? And Lebanon did request International Assistance dealing with Hezbollah and they were supposed to be given that assistance. It never materialised. They said quite plainly that they did not have the organisation and armed force necessary to disarm or to force any agreements from Hezbollah which controls nearly 40% of the country. Israel's prime minister said this himself. That the government of Lebanon cannot reign in Hezbollah. However, I see all you are really looking for is your excuse for the murder of 1000 innocent civilians, women and children included. And I don't believe Israel mourns every innocent killed at all. If they did they would stop killing them. You cannot bomb a city inhabited by non combatants, or fire shells into a city and not kill several hundred civilians. I suppose Israel mourns the dead UN soldiers as well, although they radioed several times to tell Israel that their shells and bombs were falling too close. They mourned by continuing to shell until they hit the outpost. And you mourn too, by saying that the people of Lebanon deserve it. Such compassion. Such humanity.
