Car charger is nice to have, but not a must. A good usb wireless mouse, I hate touch pads.
As far as wireless routers go, you want to buy that can do wpa-psk encryption as wep has been cracked for a long time. Best bet is to get one that will do NAT and has a decent firewall built in that you can use to limit access, and set up servers and stuff.
