Are you talking about their real reasons or the ones that they claim for the western media? Or even better yet, are you talking about the people who are trying to rationalize the actions of a militant extremist groups? There are intellectuals in the west that have made the terrorist's concept of, "The friend of my enemy is my enemy" and "They're making money and we're not so we should kill them." There are a LOT of cultural differences that people in the West don't understand.
