I would go beyond the idea of capitalism and suggest Ms Rand's
philosophy of objectivism posits that the way of freedom and
independence is through enlightened self-interest. objectivism would
not, for instance, condone the sort of capitalist oligarchy present in
modern China. Her philosophy could be summarized as radical
individualism.
