You're being flippant, but I'll put context and data to "Bush sucks". Middle East progress should not be judged with arbitrary emotional appeals, but measurable progress based on goals consistent with America's security needs. If we look at some reasonable expected goals: 1.) Decreased ability of Al-Quaeda to command and lead operations. The expectation would be yearly drops down to an ability to no longer operate. In 5 years we've failed to reach that goal and how close we are to it is unknown. At a minimum we know AQ still retains the ability to run large international operations. 2.) Decreased environment for Al-Quaeda to operate. While AQ has lost full run of Afghanistan, that's really about it. Other than that there seems to be no progress and the recruit pool seems to have grown. 3.) In Iraq we should expect a increasing level of the government to operate itself and an increasing level of peace. The exact opposite is happening. On all metrics associated with these reasonable goals the Bush team has failed. So if we're accurately judging Bush on metrics based on reasonable goals, yup, he sucks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:213815 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
