Actually, I owe you a bit of an apology and this is as good a time as
any. On the smallpox blankets thing, I said "that's what I thought,"
but I was a but busy at the time and that's overly abrupt.

Actually I would not have been able to bring the name of Amherst out
of my memory. I questioned your assertion primarily because the
history I was taught (yes it is often different that yours) said that
the Iroquois had been our allies.
