Right - but "the president isn't king" wasn't the argument being made.
 The argument being made was that the President controls the military,
which he does, per the constitution.

There are three branches.  If a single party gains control of two, the
pendulum of control swings that direction.  Same thing has happened
throughout history.

No, bad things can happen.  Bad things do happen.  Humans are not
perfect.  However, elections give us the power to FIX those bad
things.
