Sciatica can be triggered by side-to-side motion like sweeping or raking leaves. It can also be triggered by standing for a long period of time. I used to get it so bad sometimes I wanted to claw the nerve out of my leg, but not so often since I've been walking a lot.
You can get fairly prompt relief of the worst of the pain by lying on your side and pulling your knees toward your chest in a fetal position. It takes the stress off the nerve by separating the discs in the spine where the nerve passing through. As for meds, I've tried just about everything, but the only thing I found that worked was a homeopathic tinture from Nature's Sunshine called Sciatica. (I know, I didn't believe it either, but it really worked). You can order it from herbshop.com. On 8/28/06, G Money <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Seems to have mostly cleared itself up.
