All the dive boats leave Los Angeles at around 6pm for Catalina. Take about
2 1/2 hours to get to Catalina, about 5 hours of diving (get about 3 to 4
dives in), then 2 1/2 hours back. Get home at about 6pm ish.

For beach dives, if you want to beat the crowds and find parking, you have
to get there early. I get to Laguna at around 7am, do two dives, done by
noon.

Why does scuba diving have to happen so early?
