I have a Garmin i5, paid about 350 for it and it's awesome. My wife
and I took it on a trip and on the way home we had to get gas. I
thought we were going to be okay until we actually SAW a gas station
on the side of the road. We were about to hit a long stretch about 130
miles and had about an 1/8 of a tank. I pulled to the side of the
road, did a search for gas station and it found us one 1.8 miles off
the road that we would NEVER have gone to. For that alone, it's well
worth it. It meets your requirements.. portable, powered by batteries
or cigarette lighter.
Awesome investment.
