My personal feeling is you are way overreaching here, Michael.

Were the people denied due to being jewish, or being suspected of
spying for Israel? (A very different thing).

If they were denied for being Jewish, then that is wrong. If they wer
spying for Israel, I say lock 'em up and throw away the key.
