When I had mine done, afterwards there wasn't any bruising for me either, but I felt like I'd been hit face first by a mack truck. The pain lasted for weeks, (I had to take percocet. It was the only pain killer that worked even slightly.) and the draining lasted for weeks after that. Before the surgery I had had horrible sinus headaches and infections. Only a few sinus headaches since, and then only after being around a smoke filled room for too long.
It was the best surgery I ever had. Good luck with recovery.
