A regular magazine has between 35% and 50% advertising. I could have gone that
route and would have had CFDJ. That's just not what I want to do. I want to
have a high quality book published on a regular basis for the community. That's
what this is.
I can go into what people like about the journal, what my ideals are for it,
how it's a mini book rather than a magazine and more but the point is I don't
want a magazine. I want something I can see on people shelves and be proud of.
I want something that an author will be proud to have written for. I'm not
knocking magazines - I just want better.

I'll post up a list of the articles and then you can tell me if you feel it
should be a 'standard' magazine or not.

Oh, and ask Ray about his experience writing for us. He'll tell you how
seriously we take this. Or ask Hal. He'll tell you tales that'll turn your hair
white. :)
