My younger son, Michael, was bitten by one. About as big as the one in the
photo, so I don't think that was necessarily Photoshopped.

He was trailing a long chain with a metal ground screw that he'd wrenched out
of the ground. I lured him with a hot dog in such a s way that he wrapped the
chain around a tree. I locked the chain in place with a quick knot (try to get
a knot out of a chain pulled tight) and his ass was pinned to the tree. Once
he saw what I'd done he was so pissed. He lunged at me so hard he almost tore
his own head off, and he got just enough of me in his mouth to make his point.

I took revenge on him with a shovel for what he did to Michael, right square in
the head. The damned thing just bounced off his skull, and he looked at me
like "What?" and just kept on growling and barking like mad. It was a real
"Dude, I don't think we should piss off Cartman anymore" moment.

Animal Control handled him, but just barely. The guy was going to just shoot
him because he was so violent and almost too big for the animal wagon cages,
but he finally choked him so hard that he passed out a little and was easier to
handle after that.

I like cats. :)

Looks like an English Mastiff, yes. They are the largest breed of dog (in
terms of weight) with the Guiness Record holder I believe being around 350
pounds! Huge dogs, but very sweet temperaments.
