Yup*. Never seen it so bad though. Don't know if I agree with the fact that they get elected for doing it though. I'm sure it doesn't hurt, and I bet some of them are as smart as our local yokels, making a buck off of the stuff themselves. Again, it's been blatant, in the news a ton, and yet, the public doesn't seem to see the connection. :-/ The thing that made me sad was when the "midnight wheeling and dealing" went on a bit back, and folks were like "well, this type of stuff happens all the time, it will take some real investigations to see if anything wasn't quite legal" or whatever. The blah-zay nature- bleh! Was it this list that someone posted an article on how the different parts of the .gov had "bats" or whatever elsewhere in the .gov? Robert Coram's book "BOYD" had some interesting points about that big anus (re:family guy) we call the pentagon. That was a while back, but good stuff(tm) [IMO]. Strange that both Rumsfield and Cheney found him so interesting. And yet somehow keep screwing the pooch... (iirc) Personally, I think they use OODA loops for Evil, but, well, we've been down the good and evil path already... :-) > Wealth redistribution - taking wealth from all of us as a nation and > giving it to specific people in certain states. Us... and Them.... [insert rest of floyd song here ;] Buying policy - Not democratic,- or even republicratic, or whatnot. ;-) (sorry, policy isn't the right word, but you can probably work it out) Why wasn't tuna on the list? *and there's still the fact that "pork" is quite often used as a bribe. Yes, we agree- this stuff is a detriment to our Country. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:217175 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
