That just sounds silly... where did you get that from? What are the "new blue laser disk [sic] requirements"? The PS3 is a multi-format machine: game manufacturer's can distribute games on CD, DVD or Blue-Ray discs. Also, as of right now, the number of games available to seems at least equal to the number of games available for the 360 launch which itself was on par with most new systems. The number of games in development seem encouraging as well. There are always defections and the like that cause people to spout generalized conclusions. Oddworld Inhabitants, for example, dropped PS2 early on and moved to XBox... while one of the premier titles for the XBox, "Malice" was moved to PS2. The greatest likelihood is that, like the last generation, most big games will be cross platform (with short periods of "exclusivity" probable). First and second party games will still, of course, be exclusive and that's where people need to look. MS had the fewest impressive exclusives last generation, but owned the FPS market with "Halo" and "Halo 2". Nintendo always impresses with "Zelda" and "Mario" and tends to lock up the more casual and family oriented gamers. Sony dominated the 3D adventure genre with exclusive titles like "Ratchet and Clank", "Sly Cooper", "Jak" and the smash-hit "God of War" among others. All of those teams are working for their respective systems again this generation. But multiple systems had huge hits like "Prince of Persia", "Splinter Cell", "Grand Theft Auto", etc. from publishers like UbiSoft and EA - and they're onboard for all three systems again this time out. Personally I see nothing that will dramatically change the basic formula this generation.
