I have now listened to the full blurb (including the earlier references
about Bush) and I am now convinced Kerry had intended to make this a dig at
Bush and not a dig at the military in general, but accepting that as a
premise, it has to go down as one of the biggest verbal blunders in the
history of American speeches. He fails to get a laugh and insults everyone
who has ever served in the US military in one sentence. What an idiot.

Even if Kerry was digging at Bush, he was just as poor a student at Yale as
Bush was, so what does that say about him? People make fun of Bush because
he trips over himself verbally with some regularity, but this wasn't a trip,
it was like Kerry ran, eyes closed, headlong into a minefield and started
dancing around.

Man I am so glad this jackass Kerry didn't get to be President, and he has
just pretty much killed whatever slender chance he had of another shot at
it.
