We are going to re-elect our Democratic governor, which is amazing in
Kansas, which is a painfully red state. The only other interesting race in
Kansas is for attorney general, where a fundy of the worst kind, Phill
Kline, is trying to fight off repub-turned-democrat Paul Morrison. Phill
Kline, as you may recall, made national headlines by seeking the abortion
medical records of Kansans.Very important that we vote him out.

Oh, and the one Board of Education fundamentalists/creationist dipshit who
made it out of his primary, John Bacon, needs to be voted out too....but his
ignorance coalition is already history (thanks to a wonderful Republican
primary last month), so that vote isn't as important.

The fireworks are across the state line in Missouri. McCaskill vs. Talent
could swing the congress, plus the stem cell initiative, which pits
religious dogmists against people who like to save lives.
