Just an update, so far so good. Loki has used the bathroom outside all lastnight and all day today. There's been a couple times I forgot to scratch the door with his paw, but I'm getting better too :). I know we just started, but how long does it usually take for a puppy to learn this? days? weeks? months? I've been holding him and walking him to the door. I grab the leash, bags and treats and then I take his paw and gently scratch the door. I imagine he'll eventually learn to walk over to the door and scratch. I really like the bell idea, that sounds cool. Is it wise to change the routine though? Should I stick with the scratching the door?
