while the behavior at abu grhaib was deplorable, the perpetrators have
been punished. as for germany thinking of charging rumsfeld (or
rumsfled, as he shall now be known) they had better be prepared to
answers questions as to why they haven't charged any perpetrators of
state-sponsored murder of their own civilians for the crime of being a
different religion or expressing political opinions critical of govt,
e.g. China, Sudan, Syria, North Korea, Myanmar, Iran, etc., etc., etc.

seems like a *bit* of a double standard.
