You'll need an HD ready box from Comcast (maybe you already have one, but i
doubt it). They usually charge a few bucks more a month for the HD boxes.

YOu can spend up to 100 bucks on a good HD cable if you want, or even more
if you go HDMI (completely unnecessary imo). I think i found a good HD cable
(probly about 10', but not positive) for around 30 bucks at.....Target i
think.
