You're welcome....
It's good that you know yourself so well... (and didn't rag my spelling, I
know it's horrible)
Being 'part of' is a good thing, but jumping in with the tact of a 20
megton nuclear warhead isn't. There's a time and place to be deep, and
there's a time to be light hearted
this community has both. We're a very tight group, but not unwelcoming,
provided one doesn't try to go too far too fast. Remember that every name
on this list has a real live
human being attached to it via a keyboard...
All of us have quirks and oddities, that's what makes us human and what
makes this list border on addictive
Knowing this group like I do, I've seen worse treatment, I've made an ass
out of myself a couple of times here, and all is still good.
Now.... take a deep breath and start a new thread with "Hi.. I'm Daniel
I'm a ColdFusion Developer", if your're really nice your muffin privledges
may be re-established.

Thanks for that. It did give me something to think about.
Socially speaking I would be the first one to admit that I have
shortcomings. Perhaps the way I burst in like you said is one of them.
As I mentioned earlier... my intention was to be a 'part of' -- perhaps it
came out wrong..perhaps I was insensitive to the current discussion and
dynamic of the group. Perhaps a wait and see approach would have served me
better.
But certainly one has to agree that the community response was a tad over
the top, highly innapropriate and inordinatley aggressive and insulting
considering the circumstances.
I like discussing things that for me, have depth and for me anything else
I tend to view as a waste. Maybe this is a social shortcoming as you say.
Hey, I'm not perfect... I'm me. In all my own quirkyness and
oddities...that belong to me and to me alone. I see that I probably should
have started a new topic... I was unaware of the group consciousness here.
