Oh, yes, I see what you mean. When I read your post originally, I got the
impression you wanted to know how to set up your Playstation to output sound
in stereo. 

I just run my PS2 and VCR into the TV and then go from the TV to the stereo
for sound. I have a Sony 200 watt head and the sound is terrific. The only
thing to complain about is going from VCR to PS2: the dynamics of the sound
change quite a bit. Sometimes I forget to turn the stereo down before doing
switching and get an audio shock.

Well I don't have any cables from the PS2 to the receiver. The settings
you talk about would be changing Stero to Mono.
