try flight or fight syndrome, hypervigilance, cortical stimulation and/or attention span. Then AND that with adaptive? I'll take a look in a while. perhaps. I am just getting onlin e for the first time in a couple of days and have things I need to do.
I have two children with the syndrome as well so I have been to the mat with the "educational" system over this. There was a time when sitting in a seat and shutting up was not considered a time of intelligence, though it may have been adaptive since the Industrial Revolution. In an information economy though, the ability to scan large bodies of information and to pay extreme attention to detail become more important.
