They'll happily support up to 1080p.

The (potential) problem is that they're analog - so they won't support any
of the digital encryption techniques (broadcast flags, HDCP, etc) - so if
your source device enforces them you might degraded picture because of that.

Although even a "degraded" picture is usually much better than "normal" TV
(I think it's something like 520p or thereabouts).  Also not many (actually
nobody that I know of) is actually using HDCP yet - both the display and the
player have to support the encryption and only a VERY small minority of
displays do at this point.
