I've had Dells now for almost 10 years. (Servers, laptops, desktops) I love
them to the ends of the earth.

I have an old Dell Latitude C840 laptop (4yrs old) that I've been using
non-stop as my primary computer for all those years. I leave it on almost
24/7 and I take it with me everywhere.

The harddrive has recently started making the cry of death sounds, the fan
is starting to go, and the sound is dead.

I've kept an extended warranty on it ($295 for 2 years) so I called them up
Friday to finally say, "Hey, come fix her up." Whilst I was at it I
complained about a couple of pixels in the screen that were bad. As in,
maybe, 1%.

Not only was the technician brilliant and friendly and fast, but he spoke
English (although I do have Business support which is here in North
America).

They will be here Monday, replacing EVERYTHING but the case and the memory.
LOL And they are sending all OS disks and drivers as well since I cant find
them.

I think that is brilliant. :) A pain because I have to start with a fresh
harddrive and I have to reinstall 4 years worth of programs ... but at least
I never kept my data on here.

Gotta love Dell and gotta love really good warranty service.
