from what I've seen, the only major difference is the size of what the disc holds, 30GBs for HD DVD and 40GBs for Blue ray.. I'm very anti Sony for trying to force Blue ray down our throats and jacking up the price of their game system due to it (I'd be pissed at MS for doing the same with their xbox 360). Anyways, just my opinion...
