I think either Baltimore or Chicago beat DC for that title...
But it's starting to migrate into the 'burbs

Don't forget that you all hold the record for the most murders too.

Yeah, and I'm seriously considering leaving the DC area because of
Ridiculous housing costs
High Real estate taxes
insane traffic
idiot drivers
gangs
Stuck up government types (one of the other contractors on my team was
threatened by a federal employee)

You forgot
Flooding
Drive By Shootings
Stuck Up Hollywood Types
Nope, I know DC isn't perfect, but somehow I fit better on this side of
the
continent. Though I might be back in So Cal in March for a conference.

Come on! I know you miss more than just the weather ;-)
Traffic
Over crowded
Earthquakes
Riots
Wildfires
Insane housing costs
Insane property taxes

Yep. I used to go skiing at Big Bear on Saturday, drive home that evening
and then hit the beach on Sunday.
Ok, there are some things I miss about So. Cal. (Again, mostly weather
related)

Redlands here. 8:00am and there's a dusting of snow on the ground and on
the rooftops, and it's still flurrying. Last night the weather report did
say we were about to go from record heat to record cold.
Actually took the kids sledding up in Forest Falls the week before x-mas.
One of the things I like about this area. Warm weather, but drive 20
minutes up the mountain and you get snow.
