NO! Bin Laden attacked us because he wanted us out of Saudi Arabia. He wanted to take it over and control and run the land of Mecca and Medina as he felt it should be. He could give a crap about us - we're not the "ultimate enemy", the Saudi royal family is his ultimate enemy. And the US, just like Israel with Hezbollah, has allowed Bin Laden to drag us into regional war that has inflamed the passions of the entire Middle East. Now 80% of them see us as aggressive interlopers - now we have become an enemy to them. And Bush walked right into it like a moron. Here's an analogy: I want you out of your house so I wait until you can see me and then egg it. You come out with 5 of your buddies to beat the crap out of me. I run across the street into the woods and kick over a massive bee hive. You follow me into the woods and the bees attack you because they don't care who egged you - just that you're fecking about on their turf. While you and your buddies are busy swatting at bees I circle back, go in your house, crack open your beer, and watch your TV.
