Our dog (Herbie) has been sick for over a month now. He was in the hospital for a week and has been slowly recovering. He is on a slew of medications, most of which he is almost done taking. A couple of the medications give him the runs... no fun for anyone. When we take him out to do his business we always pick up after him so long as the "doggie station" is stocked with bags (which it is 99% of the time) and the shit is a consistency that can be picked up... that is, not the runs!
My wife Emily just called to tell me that she took Herbie out and as expected he had the runs which he kindly deposited in the bushes/brush that is near another apartments balcony. The balcony has no access to the bushes in terms of a gate or door. The balcony is just a nice little outdoor area where you can sit on some porch chairs and enjoy the outdoors. The tenants in the apartment that just stormed our apartment, banging on the door and screaming in my wife's face! The woman was screaming that Emily needed to pick up Herbie's shit and went on and on in a threatening manner. Emily explained Herbie was sick and his medications give him the shits hence the reason why she didn't pick it up. The woman kept going on and on in a rude manner so Emily slammed the door and locked it as she felt pretty threatened. These people party on their balcony all the time; are loud at all hours of the night, throw hundreds of cigarette butts in the same bushes they are bitching about Herbie shitting in, and have really gone out of their way to be pretty irritating neighbors. We have never had a problem with these people but this has really pissed me off as well as my wife who by the way, is almost 5 months pregnant! We don't need this shit. What do you think is an appropriate course of action? Because the woman was pretty threatening to Emily, I told her not to go try and talk to them. Emily was on the verge of calling the police because of the way the woman banged on the door and then screamed in her face but decided not to and instead called me (I'm in my office at the moment). I can't believe people are such assholes, especially when given enough information to explain the situation. I guess I should be glad it wasn't me who got bitched at because I would have let Herbie out of his crate to chase the bitch-neighbor to her apartment! I can't wait to get confronted by this woman and her tough-guy boyfriend when I get home... ugh.
