I think the person that wrote it is an idiot. (S)he is an idiot for the statement. An idiot for not realizing that the soldier hasn;t a lot of choice. And an idiot for using the company's email to make that statement. I think the company of the person that wrote it are idiots for employing him.her. (since (s)he is not enough of a professional not to get the company in hot water).
So on a personal level, I dislike the action. But, I always try to learn something from other people who are on fire. So, the question I asked is: Could this happen to me. Could this happen to my company. What would happen to me if this happened to my company. Right back to the selfish, I always come. So, with that in mind, our company should create a "Stupid Email" disaster recovery plan. Which I am now suggesting in an email I am typing, using this and a true disaster plan we executed for our New Orleans paper as examples.
