Unfortunately, I think Guiliani is going to get smoked by McCain in the South during the primaries. Four marriages, pro-gay, pro-choice- too many issues directly at odds with the values of Southern Republican voters, especially the hardcore primary voters.
The irony of ironies would be for McCain to smoke the Republican field in the primaries in the South due to his shift to the Right and then move to the center for the general election- exactly the strategy Bush used against him in 2000. I actually think McCain might be too old to be President now- it's a hellish job even for someone in their prime.
