Many Portland drivers are Californian.

My first big snowfall in Oregon was October 1997.

I was walking to work, and crossed an overpass over I5, at Bonita Road in
Lake Oswego.

I ended up over an hour late to work, as I stopped to watch no less than 30
cars wreck on a little downhill slope on the southbound lane.

Just one after another, all going 30+, and just twisting and turning and
sliding into the ditches. No one was hurt. But there was a lot of dented
metal.

Boy, was that fun to watch.
