No, it's not weird. It's human nature to read some facts on comment on only what you read. All of your articles take the plan in a vacuum at a single point in time. The one I posted extrapolates out into time in a effort to find holes: that is, it's a real world implementation with an average family one of whom is in a union. And ... surprise!
