Apparently, this is an attempt to separate big business from health care. Right now, the insurance companies bargain with big companies and ignore the individual. If we can move the bargaining power back to the people, the market will correct many of the problems. The main target is probably the union negotiated health plans that are bankrupting the US carmakers. That would explain why the Democrats don't even want to discuss it.
