I think that print (in general) can write in longer paragraphs and more paragraphs per article than web-based media or especially broadcast media. You *can* do serious journalism on either, but right now most people aren't. I can only think of Charlie Rose on TV for example as a serious journalist; and he mostly only does interviews. You can equally do some serious coverage on the web, but apart from the print media's websites (for the most part) the ideas are cut up into much smaller bites.
