It's admirable to try to avoid situations of the kind, but doods (and chixorz)-- that's just part of life. The Master may tell the pupil to do something that The Master doesn't do. I guess a Rock'n pupil would just say screw it, I'm a follower, I gotta do what the master does. That's how you get great-- never mind what The Master says! Or perhaps not so rock'n a pupil, I guess.
