Yeah, I suppose that would work if I was at all interested in being a
lawyer, or an investment banker, or a consultant (not the hands in the
muck type, but the high level, sell the souls of the people that gt
their hands dirty type o'consultant ;-)

but I wasn't, and I don't beleive that you should do anything
careerwise that you don't want to do. I know and have known too many
people who are and were absolutely miserable in their career choices,
so much so that they don't bother to enjoy the money they're making.

I am a painter, an actor, a designer, I play guitar and I make good
money doing a job I love to do that I sort of fell into while doing
something else that I loved doing.

go figure. i'm happy and I don't care that I won't make a million
bucks at it all at one time... though after ten years in *this* job i
will have made my million, if only by looking back at my base over a
decade. No ulcers, a strong marriage, great kids. A portfolio of
artwork I can be proud of. A resume of performances I can look back on
and say I wanted to do every show that I did.

So I guess it's all perspective no?
