I guess it just depends on where you live and how much you typically get. I 
remember going to college down at VA Tech, they didn't cancel classes for 
*anything*! Really sucked when even the buses had to stop running and they 
still expected you to get there. Down around DC though, everything seems to 
close if any snow at all falls...personally I kind of preferred that since it 
seems most people haven't a clue how to drive in snow and ice, and I'd rather 
they weren't on the road. At least around DC that is! 

I'm not sure how much we've gotten so far, about a foot I guess....everything I 
shoveled yesterday is completely covered over again with ice on top...and it's 
*still* coming down! We're supposed to get about another 6 inches. It's 
definitely making up for the lack of snow up to this point.
