I used Mozy for awhile but then switched to Carbonite. I really like the way it
integrates into Explorer so you can just mark a directory or file to be backed
up (or not)....versus Mozy which was really a hassle to configure. Cost is $50
a year for unlimited storage I believe. Has some nice tray options so you can
temporarily disable it, set it to lower priority, etc. I do still do a lot of
backups onto external drives, but online storage is a good investment
particularly if you do freelance work from home and don't have any off-site
storage capability, to protect yourself from really major disasters like fire
or theft. I looked into a media safe and they are just way too big and
expensive to be practical, and I like knowing that my work is being backed up
periodically through the day as well.

Carbonite does have a nice referral program as well where I get some free
months for referring people...and the person referred gets a 1-month trial
instead of the usual 15 days so if anyone would like to try it, drop me an
email and I'll send you a referral link.
