What about the Netgear solution? The SC101 They've got a nice two disk NAS that uses standard ATA6 drives (or better) and will do RAID mirroring... apparently there's a new one coming out that will do it with SATA drives and has gigabit ethernet - and the big SATA drives are a little cheaper than the big EIDE drives...
The amount of storage isn't as high, since you can only do two disks at whatever the current SATA limitation is.... you could get a pair of 750 gig SATA drives, but that puts it a bit beyond your price expectations =) The 500 gig SATA drives would work though, if you were happy with 500 gig of network attached storage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Create robust enterprise, web RIAs.
