If you dont see a point then why are you reading a mac thread? Look up some reviews of running windows on a mac and most will say that it actually runs better on a mac. I even saw an article where the editor and a lot of the staff at pc world or one of those pc mags, starting using macs and they were apple haters.
If you did buy a mac and ran bc or parallels what you'd find out is that you will end up using windows less and less as you discover how good OS X really is. Now I could say that as an opinion but I am basically stating what I have been reading on our peers blogs who have been switching like mad men lately.
