The attorney general LIED UNDER OATH to Congress in January regarding this matter. If nothing else, that's the issue. The broader issue to me, however, is chilling concept where the Whitehouse is essentially controlling prosecutions via jobs: if you like a prosecution (say, political) you keep the guy, if you don't you replace him. That should NOT be the case. So, while it's true that USAs "serve at the pleasure of the President" my call would be they can only be replaced once a term, and at the beginning. Ironically this the President's point thus far: we're not going to endorse "fishing expeditions".
