I think much of this no matter where you travel is due to:

1.) What you expect,
2.) How you conduct yourself, and
3.) Where you go.

I've had a great experience in every country I've ever been too, but
if I had to I'd probably say Holland is the easiest to get around in
w/o Dutch.

In terms of the "dirtiest" city I've found that to be London - not
because of trash on the street, etc - but because when I blow my nose
in London it always come out black. I haven't had that experience
anywhere else.

So I'd vote London for the dirtiest air. Other notable rankings:

* Tokyo - best service
* Paris - best food, wine
* Brussels - best chocolate
* Holland - most english speakers
* Germany - most fun to drive
* Florance - Best leather & gelato
* Switzerland - best scenery
* Belgium - best beer
* Chicago - best hot dogs
* San Francisco - best pastrami sandwiches (SF Meat Co. Yum!)
* LA - dirtiest city
* Seattle - best coffee
* Washington DC - best walking city
* Tarpon Springs - best redneck riveria town & sponge diving capital
of the world
